Every Game New to Xbox Game Pass for June 2025
Game Pass continues to be one of the best deals in gaming, and this month’s lineup of titles making its way to the subscription service only serves to underscore that sentiment. Between June 3, 2025 and June 30, 2025 there are a total of 20 new titles making their way to Xbox Game Pass, with a few of them exclusive to PC and some others only available if you happen to be a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber (as opposed to a Standard subscriber). As is typically the case, several of the most high-profile games joining Game Pass this month did so day and date with their release, making the service one of the best and least-risky ways to try out a new title before committing to spending $60 or $70.
Crypt Custodian
- Release Date — August 27, 2024
- Developer — Kyle Thompson
- Publisher — Kyle Thompson, Top Hat Studios
- Review Aggregate Score — 82% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 3, 2025
There are a handful of Metroidvania games on Game Pass, but the service can always use more. One of the best Metroidvania titles to release in recent years, Kyle Thompson’s Crypt Custodian, made its way onto Game Pass on June 3 and is currently available for all subscription tiers. It’s a smart, well-written, and impeccably designed Metroidvania that nails both its combat and exploration and features an incredible story.
Symphonia
- Release Date — December 5, 2024
- Developer — Sunny Peak
- Publisher — Headup, Beep Japan
- Review Aggregate Score — 85% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 3, 2025
Sunny Peak’s Symphonia is a fairly well-received precision platformer with some incredible art and animation, and it’s now available on Game Pass via both the Standard and Ultimate subscription tiers. It’s also apparently a very short and sweet experience, making it a perfect fit for the subscription service.
Baldur’s Gate & Baldur’s Gate II Enhanced Editions
- Release Date — January 16, 2013 (Baldur’s Gate); November 15, 2013 (Baldur’s Gate II)
- Developer — BioWare, Beamdog
- Publisher — Beamdog
- Review Aggregate Score — 83% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 5, 2025
The first two Baldur’s Gate games are each legendary CRPGs that helped to shape the genre, and Beamdog’s commendable remasters of them are now available as part of Xbox’s Game Pass service. You’re looking at hundreds of hours of gameplay between both titles, and it’s time that would be well-spent for anyone who’s playing these RPGs for the first time or coming back after a long absence.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition
- Release Date — June 10, 2025
- Developer — SneakyBox, Relic Entertainment
- Publisher — Sega
- Review Aggregate Score — 66% (Mixed or Average)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 10, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
The success of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 seems to have inspired Relic Entertainment to go back and remaster the first game in the series. Unfortunately, it’s a remaster that’s low in effort and high in bugs, effectively making an already great game worse despite its visual improvements. You’re better off playing the original Xbox 360 release if you can get your hands on it.
Barbie Project Friendship
- Release Date — October 25, 2024
- Developer — Xaloc Studios, Casual Brothers
- Publisher — Outright Games
- Review Aggregate Score — N/A
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 11, 2025
Outright Games continues to establish itself as the de facto publisher for games based on popular children’s properties, and its latest title is Barbie Project Friendship. While there’s no review aggregate score available for Project Friendship, it has a fairly positive reception on Steam and seems to be a great game for anyone who’s a fan of the IP.
Kingdom Two Crowns
- Release Date — December 11, 2018
- Developer — Noio, Coatsink
- Publisher — Raw Fury
- Review Aggregate Score — 85% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 11, 2025 (Game Pass for PC)
The Kingdom games are widely regarded as some of the best RTS/tower defense games in the genre, and Kingdom Two Crowns is one of the better games in the series. As of June 11, it’s available on Game Pass for PC, which is a perfect fit for its relatively simple and straightforward take on what’s traditionally a fairly complex genre.
EA Sports FC 25
- Release Date — June 12, 2025
- Developer — EA Vancouver, EA Romania
- Publisher — Electronic Arts
- Review Aggregate Score — 76% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 12, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
Considering EA tends to make most of the money in the FIFA/FC series from microtransactions, it’s not surprising to see the publisher give away its latest iteration of the sports franchise for free on Game Pass Ultimate. Aside from it featuring some slightly improved visuals and updated player rosters, this is basically still the same EA Sports FC as it’s been in recent years.
The Alters
- Release Date — June 13, 2025
- Developer — 11 bit studios
- Publisher — 11 bit studios
- Review Aggregate Score — 84% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 13, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
While it might not have the same level of critical acclaim as some of the other Game of the Year nominees from 2025, lots of players are already tossing The Alters‘ name in the ring for having one of the best narratives of any game this year. This sci-fi action-adventure game where you clone yourself (and have a surprising amount of branching pathways and “Alters” to unlock) was a day 1 release on Game Pass Ultimate, which seems to have been a great place for it, thanks to a shorter runtime.
FBC: Firebreak
- Release Date — June 17, 2025
- Developer — Remedy Entertainment
- Publisher — Remedy Entertainment
- Review Aggregate Score — 65% (Mixed or Average)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 17, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
Unfortunately for Remedy Entertainment, the studio’s foray into live-service co-op shooters with FBC: Firebreak seems to have landed with a bit of a thud. Still, the game does still have a reasonably active player community, which makes now the best time to get in and see what the game is all about before players bounce off of it for something else. This is the exact type of experience that Game Pass was made for.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
- Release Date — March 12, 2021
- Developer — Toys for Bob
- Publisher — Activision
- Review Aggregate Score — 85% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 17, 2025
The Crash Bandicoot games are some of the best 3D platformers of the 5th generation, and we waited quite a long time to get a fourth entry in the series. Not only is Crash Bandicoot 4 an excellent game that was well worth the multi-decade wait, but it’s now on Game Pass for all subscription tiers.
Lost in Random: The Eternal Die
- Release Date — June 17, 2025
- Developer — Stormteller Games
- Publisher — Thunderful Publishing
- Review Aggregate Score — 79% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 17, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
Another day 1 release for Ultimate tier subscribers, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is the action roguelike follow-up to the narrative-led adventure game Lost in Random. The Eternal Die has some strong combat and satisfying progression, and it’s an ideal title to pick up and play from time to time between longer experiences.
Star Trucker
- Release Date — September 3, 2024
- Developer — Monster and Monster
- Publisher — Raw Fury
- Review Aggregate Score — 73% (Mixed or Average)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 18, 2025
One of Game Pass’ best pick-ups in recent years was Power Wash Simulator, and its success on the service seemed to point to simulation games being a great fit for it. This month sees another previously successful simulation game, Space Trucker, making its way to both Standard and Ultimate as part of both the PC and console services, and by all accounts, it’s a great mix between a realistic big rig driving game and a sci-fi shipping simulator.
Wildfrost
- Release Date — December 10, 2024
- Developer — Deadpan Games, Gaziter
- Publisher — Chucklefish
- Review Aggregate Score — 80% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 18, 2025
Another roguelike making its way to Game Pass this month is Wildfrost, which is a very competent deckbuilder featuring a cartoonish art style. As far as deckbuilders go, Wildfrost has a lot of depth and rewards players who get creative with their strategy rather than simply trying to play a numbers game.
Rematch
- Release Date — June 19, 2025
- Developer — Sloclap
- Publisher — Sloclap, Kepler Interactive
- Review Aggregate Score — 74% (Mixed or Average)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 19, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
Sloclap’s 5v5 soccer follow-up to Sifu is getting decent enough reviews, even if its gameplay does seem to wear a little thin too quickly. Of course, that also happens to make it the perfect kind of game to try out on Game Pass instead of purchasing outright, which players can currently do thanks to its day 1 launch on the service.
Volcano Princess
- Release Date — June 24, 2025
- Developer — Egg Hatcher
- Publisher — Gamera Games
- Review Aggregate Score — N/A
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 24, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
I’ll be honest, I had never heard of Volcano Princess until recently, and was surprised to see how well received it is on Steam (97% “Overwhelmingly Positive” user reviews). This simulation RPG is set to arrive on consoles later this week, where it will be a day 1 title on the Ultimate tier of Game Pass.
Against the Storm
- Release Date — June 26, 2025
- Developer — Eremite Games
- Publisher — Hooded Horse
- Review Aggregate Score — 91% (Universal Acclaim)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 26, 2025 (Not available on Game Pass Standard)
Another day 1 launch on the service that’s arriving later this week is the phenomenal Against the Storm. PC players have been enjoying this city-building roguelike for almost two years, counting its Early Access launch, and it’s finally making its way to consoles for more players to see why it’s one of the most celebrated indie games of the last few years.
Warcraft I: Remastered
- Release Date — November 13, 2024
- Developer — Blizzard Entertainment
- Publisher — Blizzard Entertainment
- Review Aggregate Score — N/A
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 26, 2025 (Game Pass for PC, not available on Standard)
The entire Warcraft Battle Chest is making its way to the PC version of Game Pass for Ultimate subscribers this week, which means Warcraft I, II, and III will finally be available on the service. This is something that players have been waiting for ever since Microsoft announced plans to acquire Activision Blizzard.
Warcraft II: Remastered
- Release Date — November 13, 2024
- Developer — Blizzard Entertainment
- Publisher — Blizzard Entertainment
- Review Aggregate Score — N/A
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 26, 2025 (Game Pass for PC, not available on Standard)
Arguably the best title included in the Warcraft Battle Chest is Warcraft II, and its remastered version is going to be available on Game Pass starting this Thursday. Warcraft II is an all-timer of an RTS game that still holds up incredibly well.
Warcraft III: Reforged
- Release Date — January 28, 2020
- Developer — Blizzard Entertainment, Lemon Sky Studios
- Publisher — Blizzard Entertainment
- Review Aggregate Score — 56% (Mixed or Average)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 26, 2025 (Game Pass for PC, not available on Standard)
It’s hard to think of a developer who fumbled the ball so hard as Blizzard did with Warcraft III: Reforged, which takes the excellent and groundbreaking Warcraft III and gives it a remaster that essentially ruins the entire experience. Still, it’s going to be free to play on PC Game Pass Ultimate later this week, so at least you can try it for relatively no risk.
Call of Duty: WWII
- Release Date — November 3, 2017
- Developer — Sledgehammer Games
- Publisher — Activision
- Review Aggregate Score — 80% (Generally Favorable)
- Xbox Game Pass Arrival Date — June 30, 2025
The final game to join Game Pass in the month of June is none other than Call of Duty: WWII, which is one of the few modern CoD games set in the series’ traditional World War II era. The campaign of this one is actually one of the better of its ilk and there’s also a zombies mode, so this is one that’s definitely worth downloading and checking out for a bit before it leaves the service.
