Every Major DLC Expansion Announced at Gamescom
The Gamescom showcase is typically packed with plenty of reveals, and this year’s was no different. That said, it’s almost shocking how many of this year’s biggest announcements came in the form of major DLC expansions for existing games. From long-awaited features arriving in beloved titles to one of the latest major expansion for the biggest MMORPG of all time, the rest of 2025 and 2026 are looking to be an exciting time for some highly celebrated games getting major content drops. Here’s a look at every major DLC expansion announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
World of Warcraft: Midnight

The newest entry in the World of Warcraft story is scheduled to arrive in 2026. Notably, this expansion will finally introduce housing to the game. Players will be able to explore new and redesigned areas, as well as experience new quest lines, dungeons, and raids. With a new hub city, a new allied race, and other player experience and quality of life updates, World of Warcraft Midnight is looking to be an epic sequel to The War Within.
Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy 14 Online Crossover

Both Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 14 are preparing to add content to each other’s titles at the end of September. Monster Hunter Wilds will be receiving a new monster, Omega Planetes, and Final Fantasy 14 will be receiving, what many assume is, the title monster, Arkveld, as a trial for players to overcome; however, this hasn’t been confirmed. Other confirmed additions are the chocobo mount for Monster Hunter Wilds and the sekrit mount for Final Fantasy 14.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of the Giants

The story expansion for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is finally releasing on September 5. It is an all-new addition to the game’s story that places Indiana Jones in Rome, featuring new catacombs to explore and intricate puzzles to solve so that Indy can uncover the dark legacy of the Nephilim giants.
inZOI: Island Getaway

inZOI has just announced and released its first major expansion with the Island Getaway DLC. There’s a new city comprised of three islands, as well as new mechanics like crop farming, mineral mining, and gemstone cutting. Players can also expect new ways to relax with their Zois, such as swimming, saunas, and a massage zone. Best of all, this expansion is free for anyone who already owns inZOI
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Legacy of the Forge

The next major DLC update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 brings new ways to manage your forge, including new options for customizing your workspace and creations. There will be new acquaintances to make and decisions to allow for Henry to embrace his father’s legacy.
Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven

The Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven expansion announced at Gamescom is designed to be endgame content. There will be a brand-new area to explore at the appropriately named Woolhaven location. Players will be tasked with enduring the harsh environment and building new structures to protect their cult from the elements. As you explore, there will be two new dungeons filled with new enemies and bosses to experience, so be sure you use the base game to prepare yourself for the new challenges.
Ghost of Yotei Legends

Announced on stage at Gamescom, Ghost of Yotei will receive free multiplayer DLC just like Ghost of Tsushima did. Ghost of Yotei Legends will provide players with two-player cooperative missions and four-player survival scenarios. Players can choose from one of four character classes and face off against altered versions of the Yotei Six.
