The post Everything Announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 appeared first on Cheat Code Central.
Yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase effectively wrapped up the major slate of summer gaming events for 2025, and it predictably was full of plenty of exciting game announcements as well as a surprising hardware reveal. Microsoft had reportedly been eyeing the possibility of releasing an Xbox handheld for some time now, and just a week ahead of the Xbox Games Showcase, rumors were floating that the project had been scrapped. As it turns out, those rumors were completely unfounded, with the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X set to release later this year with built-in Game Pass support. Along with the debut of its new hardware, Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios had plenty of great-looking games in store to reveal at the showcase.

ROG Xbox Ally

Microsoft’s plans to make a handheld were fairly well known despite not being officially revealed, but a recent rumor of those plans’ cancellation made yesterday’s reveal of the ROG Xbox Ally all the more surprising. While it does look just like an Xbox-branded ASUS ROG Ally, the fact that it has built in Game Pass support and the Xbox OS should see it become a legitimate competitor with the Steam Deck and Switch 2.
