Good Smile’s Figma Line Is Full of Video Game Action Figures: Here Are 10 of the Coolest

Many of our favorite games have some seriously cool collectibles for fans to pick up, and Good Smile’s Figma line makes some of the absolute best action figures based on best-selling video game IPs. From Nintendo franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Metroid to a slew of figures from popular FromSoftware titles in the Soulsborne lineage, Good Smile’s Figma line has long been one of the most respected among video game players for its quality, number of accessories, attention to detail, and price.

While there are plenty of great video game statues whose design and artistry are second-to-none, they’re often incredibly expensive and cost-prohibitive, not to mention taking up a massive footprint. For something perfect for a desk or shelf in an office that won’t break the bank, you could hardly go wrong with a Good Smile Figma, and these are 10 of the coolest ones they’ve ever produced.

2B from NieR: Automata is probably one of the most popular video game protagonists of all time, and her Good Smile Figma sold out incredibly fast, not long after it went up for pre-order. The demand for 2B was so high that Figma has since dropped another pre-order listing for a reprint, showing that the NieR fanbase is just as strong as ever (which makes sense, given how incredible a game it is). Best of all, there are a few other NieR figures in the Figma line, allowing you to decorate your game room/office with more than just the game’s main protagonist.

The Doom Slayer from the modern DOOM trilogy has got to be one of the coolest video game protagonists of all time, and his Figma model is just as striking. Along with being super poseable and featuring a surprising amount of articulation, the Doom Slayer comes with an almost absurd amount of accessories, from the Crucible Blade to the iconic BFG and even a Super Shotgun. The Doom Slayer was regularly available for a while thanks to its drop between the releases of DOOM Eternal and DOOM: The Dark Ages, but The Dark Ages‘ arrival has seen interest in the figure spike, causing it to sell out from multiple retailers.

Wolf from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was one of the first FromSoftware characters to get an official Good Smile Figma action figure, and it remains one of the highest-quality sculpts in the entire line. The figure itself features some mixed media elements like real cloth and wood, which adds to the level of detail and realism you’d expect from a top-shelf collectible like a Figma. The Deluxe version of Wolf originally sold for just $99.99 but has since shot up to astronomical prices on the secondary market, meaning you’d be lucky now to find one for under $500.

Samus Aran has been one of Figma’s most popular characters across several different products, with the company releasing figures for her appearances from Metroid Prime, Metroid Other M, Metroid Fusion, and most recently, Metroid Dread. The newest Metroid Dread-themed Samus Aran figure is stunning in person (I have one currently sitting on a shelf in my office) and features several cool accessories like swappable hands, different arm blaster configurations, and even a Morph Ball. At this point, Figma has hit every Samus except Super Metroid‘s version, so here’s hoping a Varia Suit Samus is next in line.

One of the more impressive figures in Good Smile’s more recent wave of Figma releases is its rendition of the player character, the Arisen, from Dragon’s Dogma 2. Considering the player can customize their Arisen’s class and appearance, the Figma opts to imagine the Arisen as your standard sword-and-board warrior, complete with the Grand Cuirass armor and some other iconic armaments. Good Smile continues to knock it out of the park with their different armored figures from popular RPGs, and Dragon’s Dogma 2‘s Arisen sets a new high bar for future Figma to clear.

It was a toss-up whether to include Bloodborne‘s Old Hunter Figma or Lady Maria on this list, but Lady Maria ultimately wins out for being a stunning sculpt of one of the game’s best bosses. The attention to detail in Lady Maria’s Figma, both in the quality of the figure itself and in the different accessories she comes with, screams appreciation for Bloodborne and the climactic boss fight with the character in the Old Hunters DLC, and it’s arguably one of the best figures that the company has produced based on a FromSoftware property.

The original Solid Snake Figma depicting the character’s appearance from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was so popular that Good Smile did something it rarely does and decided to release an updated version, which you can currently pre-order from the official site and licensed retailers. Along with a stunning sculpt depicting Snake as he appears in Metal Gear Solid 2‘s initial Tanker section, the figure comes with a ton of great accessories, including a hilarious nod to the infamous Cardboard Box that you can use to sneak around the ship’s hold and confuse Spetsnaz soldiers.

The Sam Porter Bridges Death Stranding figure is another of Figma’s more impressive sculpts (especially for how it painstakingly recreates his cargo carrier and other accessories), but the Death Stranding figure for Cliff slightly ekes out a win as the best Figma based on the IP for its impressively realistic sculpt and evocative paint job. The scenes with Cliff are some of the most impactful to the story of Death Stranding, and this Figma is a great homage to that aspect of the game while also just being a straight-up great-looking collectible with a realistic military aesthetic and plenty of cool weaponry.

The knight in Fluted Armor that serves as the iconic cover subject of FromSoftware’s Demon’s Souls now has his own Figma, and it’s a doozy. This stunningly recreated figure features some of the most impressive detail in its sculpt and articulation, allowing you to position it in a variety of action poses that look like they’re pulled straight from Demon’s Souls screen grabs mid-boss fight. Like the Arisen from Dragon’s Dogma, the player character in Demon’s Souls is an avatar of your own creation, but choosing the cover subject for a figure to honor the game feels like a perfect fit. Now we just need a Figma for the Soul of Cinder from Dark Souls III.

If you happen to be a fan of The Legend of Zelda, you could hardly go wrong with any of Good Smile’s Figma depicting the series’ hero Link, and the most recent Tears of the Kingdom version is perhaps the best of them all. The Deluxe version of Link’s Tears of the Kingdom Figma comes with a ton of great accessories, including plenty of nods to the game’s Ultrahand mechanic and Link’s ability to craft and modify weapons, and his actual sculpt is incredibly faithful to the game’s unmistakable visuals and art direction. A close runner-up would be the Skyward Sword version of Link, but this Tears of the Kingdom Figma may be the ultimate Legend of Zelda action figure.
