The Best Deals on Green Man Gaming’s Sunshine Sale
Running right alongside Valve’s Steam Summer Sale is Green Man Gaming’s Sunshine Sale, and it’s surprisingly packed with deals that rival Steam’s. For those unfamiliar, Green Man Gaming is a verified and trusted Steam key seller, and they typically offer discounts that are slightly higher than what you might find on official storefronts like Valve’s Steam or the Epic Games Store. Green Man Gaming’s normally discounted prices are great enough as it is, but its aptly named Sunshine Sale is aimed at giving Valve and the Steam Summer Sale a run for their money. After spending some time searching through dozens of pages of available deals, these are the titles we would absolutely pick up as part of the Sunshine Sale.
The First Berserker: Khazan
- Release Date — March 27, 2025
- Developer — Neople
- Publisher — Nexon
- Genre — Action RPG, Soulslike
- Steam User Score — 84% (Very Positive)
- Price — $40.79 (Normally $59.99, 32% off)
Neople’s The First Berserker: Khazan might be the first non-FromSoftware Soulslike since Lies of P to be one of the better games in the subgenre. The stars of Khazan are the game’s jaw-dropping boss fights, which ramp up in intensity and challenge the further you get into the game, culminating in a final boss battle that may even rival the toughest encounters from Elden Ring or Lies of P. The First Berserker: Khazan is on a slightly deeper discount on Green Man Gaming than it is on Steam, meaning players can grab one of the better Soulslikes in recent years for just $40.
Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree
- Release Date — April 17, 2025
- Developer — Primal Game Studio
- Publisher — Knights Peak
- Genre — Metroidvania, Soulslike
- Steam User Score — 66% (Mixed)
- Price — $23.99 (Normally $39.99, 40% off)
Speaking of Soulsikes, Soulslike/Metroidvania hybrid Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is down to its lowest-ever price on Green Man Gaming, coming down from its normally steep $40 asking price to just $24. Mandragora is packed with plenty of great content and features some impressive build variety that has the potential to shake up each playthrough, and its developers have been actively improving the game ever since launch. $40 is a bit high for an indie Metroidvania, but at $24, picking up Mandragora is a much easier pill to swallow.
Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition
- Release Date — September 21, 2023
- Developer — Capcom
- Publisher — Capcom
- Genre — Survival Horror, Action
- Steam User Score — 97% (Overwhelmingly Positive)
- Price — $25.49 (Normally $49.99, 49% off)
Considering how well Resident Evil 4 sold, it would be surprising to come across anyone who doesn’t already have the game in their library. That said, if you happen to be one of the holdouts and have been on the fence, you can currently grab the Gold Edition that includes the base game and the Separate Ways DLC for just $25. It’s a tough call whether Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 4 can take the crown for being the best remake in the series, but Resident Evil 4‘s DLC and inclusion of Mercenaries mode may just help it eke out a win.
Helldivers II
- Release Date — February 8, 2024
- Developer — Arrowhead Studios
- Publisher — PlayStation Publishing
- Genre — Third-person Shooter, Co-op, Extraction Shooter
- Steam User Score — 77% (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $26.87 (Normally $39.99, 33% off)
Arrowhead Studios’ Helldivers II is some of the most fun you can have in a co-op extraction shooter, and it’s currently a whopping 33% off on Green Man Gaming. The rollercoaster of player reactions to Helldivers II has seen the title go from being one of Steam’s highest-rated and most-played titles to being review-bombed and abandoned, only for players to flock back to it en masse once Arrowhead makes a change the community likes. It’s currently on one of its upswings in popularity, making now a great time to jump in and do your part for democracy.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Release Date — January 30, 2025
- Developer — Insomniac Games, Nixxes Software
- Publisher — PlayStation Publishing
- Genre — Action-Adventure, Open-World
- Steam User Score — 76% (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $40.79 (Normally $59.99, 32% off)
Like Helldivers II, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is another formerly PlayStation-exclusive title that’s made its way to PC and is currently on a nice discount as part of Green Man Gaming’s Sunshine Sale. While Spider-Man 2‘s PC port initially arrived in a bit of a rough state, Nixxes Software has been putting in the work to bring it up to the level of quality of its other PlayStation to PC ports, and the game’s user review score on Steam keeps climbing as a result. Now that it’s down to $40, you can grab Spider-Man 2 and start playing as the title continues to get optimized and improved from a technical standpoint.
XCOM Ultimate Collection
- Release Date — April 24, 2020
- Developer — Firaxis
- Publisher — 2K
- Genre — Turn-Based Tactics, Strategy
- Steam User Score — 93% – XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Very Positive); 84% – XCOM 2 (Very Positive); 71% – XCOM: Chimera Squad (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $17.05 (Normally $148.99, 89% off)
One of the most insane deals available as part of the current sale on Green Man Gaming is the XCOM Ultimate Collection. Firaxis’ XCOM games are some of the all-time greatest turn-based tactics games ever made, and you can currently grab the entire trilogy and all its DLC expansions for just $17. XCOM Chimera Squad is arguably the weak link in the collection, but considering it’s balanced by both XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2, anyone with even a passing interest in tactics games would be making a huge mistake not picking this collection up at its 89% discount.
Destiny 2 Legacy Collection
- Release Date — October 1, 2019
- Developer — Bungie
- Publisher — Bungie
- Genre — FPS, Looter Shooter, MMORPG
- Steam User Score — 79% (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $5.95 (Normally $69.99, 91% off)
Another content-rich collection that’s on a massive discount is the Destiny 2 Legacy Collection, which contains both the free-to-play Destiny 2 base game and the premium expansions up through 2024 — Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Lightfall. It’s only a 1% higher discount than what the Legacy Collection is going for on Steam, but considering you can also grab The Final Shape expansion for a 79% discount on Green Man Gaming, you have the perfect opportunity to get completely caught up on Destiny 2 ahead of July’s Year of Prophecy content drop.
Tempest Rising
- Release Date — April 24, 2025
- Developer — Slipgate Ironworks
- Publisher — 3D Realms, Knights Peak
- Genre — RTS, Strategy
- Steam User Score — 88% (Very Positive)
- Price — $25.59 (Normally $39.99, 36% off)
The RTS has been in relative hiding for quite a while after once being one of the most popular PC-centric gaming genres, and Tempest Rising has arrived to signal its triumphant return. Releasing just earlier this year, Tempest Rising is, by all accounts, the legitimate successor to the classic Command and Conquer series, and it continues to earn plenty of praise from longtime and lapsed RTS players. It’s currently down to its lowest price since launch over on Green Man Gaming, meaning players can get the best RTS game in years for just $25.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- Release Date — April 22, 2025
- Developer — Bethesda Game Studios, Virtuous
- Publisher — Bethesda Softworks
- Genre — Action RPG, Open-World
- Steam User Score — 80% (Very Positive)
- Price — $33.99 (Normally $49.99, 32% off)
The last two titles we’ve chosen to highlight from Green Man Gaming’s Sunshine Sale are both titles that are discounted over on the Steam Store, but their discounts over at Green Man Gaming are much more appealing. While it’s only 20% off on Steam, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is currently 32% off on Green Man Gaming, bringing it down to just $34. The Oblivion remaster is a perfect example of how to bring a beloved classic up to modern standards while keeping the core gameplay intact, and it’s still one of the best RPGs available.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Release Date — April 24, 2025
- Developer — Sandfall Interactive
- Publisher — Kepler Interactive
- Genre — RPG
- Steam User Score — 95% (Overwhelmingly Positive)
- Price — $39.59 (Normally $49.99, 21% off)
Like Oblivion Remastered, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of several highlighted deals over on the Steam Summer Sale that happens to be on an even deeper discount at Green Man Gaming. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the kind of gaming experience we only get every so often, with its story and gameplay working perfectly in concert with one another to deliver a modern classic in its genre. In Clair Obscur‘s case, that genre is role-playing, and the strength of its combat and story make it an absolute essential for anyone who loves RPGs.
