The Best Deals to Grab During the PlayStation Store November Savings Sale

The Best Deals to Grab During the PlayStation Store November Savings Sale

The holidays are now just around the corner from us, which naturally means that just about every digital storefront has some great sales running. The PlayStation Store is no different, with nearly 2000 deals up for grabs as part of the November Savings Sale. From now until November 21, players can grab tons of great titles and their DLC for their lowest-ever prices, including a surprising number of titles released just this year. As usual, some of these deals are restricted to players who are current PlayStation Plus subscribers, but we’ve tried to narrow down the best deals to pick up that are open to all players, regardless of their PS Plus subscription status.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R

  • Release Date — November 2, 2023
  • Developer — tri-Ace, Gemdrops
  • Publisher — Square Enix
  • Genre — JRPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 86% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $24.99 (Normally $49.99, 50% off)

Square Enix is one of a small handful of publishers that have most of their PS4 and PS5 catalog discounted as part of the November Savings Sale, which means there are a ton of great RPGs to grab right now. Narrowed down further, there are a surprising number of RPG remakes that are on sale right now, and Star Ocean: The Second Story R is maybe the very best one you can currently grab for a hefty 50% off discount. The original Star Ocean: The Second Story is one of the PS1’s greatest RPGs, and its remake accomplishes the impossible by being better than its source material. When it comes to carefully updating a classic with modern conveniences, few games do it as well as Star Ocean: The Second Story R.

Final Fantasy XVI Complete Edition

  • Release Date — June 22, 2023
  • Developer — Square Enix Creative Business Unit 3
  • Publisher — Square Enix
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 87% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $34.99 (Normally $69.99, 50% off)

Speaking of Square Enix and great RPGs on sale, the Complete Edition of Final Fantasy XVI is down to a new historically low price as part of the November Savings Sale, making it a great time to pick up this legendary series’ most current mainline entry. While some fans initially decried Final Fantasy XVI‘s shift away from more traditional aspects that the series has been known for, it’s hard to deny the pull of its excellent story, which is only further fleshed out by the excellent post-launch DLC that’s included as part of the Complete Edition. If you’re going to play Final Fantasy XVI for the first time, playing the Complete Edition is arguably the most comprehensive way to experience its series-best narrative.

Dragon’s Dogma II

  • Release Date — March 22, 2024
  • Developer — Capcom
  • Publisher — Capcom
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 86% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $29.39 (Normally $69.99, 58% off)

The cult status of the original Dragon’s Dogma set up its sequel for great success, which is precisely what Dragon’s Dogma II achieved (both commercially and critically) upon its launch last year. Since then, Capcom has seemingly forgotten about the title (in no small part due to its creator’s departure from the studio), but that hasn’t stopped the publisher from regularly putting the game on sale, including the current deal that sees Dragon’s Dogma II down to its lowest-ever price on PS5. It’s a challenging action RPG that practically demands immersion, which only serves to underscore how different and unique it feels compared to similar games in a modern landscape. It’s not a Soulslike, but there are plenty of eccentricities about Dragon’s Dogma II that Soulslike players would probably love.

Dragon’s Crown Pro

  • Release Date — February 8, 2018
  • Developer — Vanillaware
  • Publisher — Atlus
  • Genre — Beat ’em Up, Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 80% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $3.99 (Normally $19.99, 80% off)

Vanillaware’s legendary beat ’em up, Dragon’s Crown, is back down to its historical low right now, giving players one of the absolute best games they can get for less than $5. Part beat ’em up and part action RPG, Dragon’s Crown Pro retreads a lot of similar ground to Vanillaware founder George Kamitani’s previous games (Dungeons & Dragons: Shadows Over Mystara, Princess Crown, etc.), but it does so in a way that feels like a successful iteration rather than a shameless imitation. In truth, Dragon’s Crown Pro might be one of the best beat ’em ups with RPG elements ever made, and it doesn’t hurt that the game’s hand-drawn art is still something to behold nearly a decade after its release.

Dragon Quest Builders 2

  • Release Date — December 20, 2018
  • Developer — Square Enix, Koei Tecmo Games, Omega Force
  • Publisher — Square Enix
  • Genre — Action RPG, Crafting, Sandbox
  • Review Aggregate Score — 86% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $19.99 (Normally $39.99, 50% off)

Even if you’re not a fan of crafting sandbox games like Minecraft, there’s a whole lot to love about Dragon Quest Builders 2. Even better, there’s no need to have played the original; in fact, it’s almost better if you haven’t, as Dragon Quest Builders 2 doesn’t reinvent the wheel in favor of perfecting the formula of the original. Part Zelda-like action RPG and part open-world building and crafting game, there are hundreds of potential hours of gameplay in Dragon Quest Builders 2, and that’s just the single-player component. Once you reach the endgame, you can build and battle in co-op with a friend, which opens up a whole new avenue of play that could easily eat up a couple hundred hours.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Deluxe Edition

  • Release Date — January 26, 2024
  • Developer — Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio
  • Publisher — Sega
  • Genre — JRPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 89% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $25.49 (Normally $84.99, 70% off)

When Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth was initially released, critics and players alike rightfully heaped tons of praise on the game for being a successful second entry in the Yakuza series’ renaming and pivot from open-world beat ’em up to open-world JRPG. But while Infinite Wealth is an unmissable experience on the gameplay side of things, it still felt wrong for Sega to cut the very RPG-standard New Game + mode from the regular edition of the game in favor of including it as a bonus with the deluxe edition. Thankfully, you can now grab the Deluxe Edition of Infinite Wealth for its lowest price ever, which opens up the ability to play the game a second time in New Game + with all your previously earned items and experience.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

  • Release Date — June 14, 2024
  • Developer — Atlus
  • Publisher — Sega
  • Genre — JRPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 87% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $23.99 (Normally $59.99, 60% off)

Considering how wildly popular its spin-off series has become in recent years, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance feels criminally underplayed. It’s a shame, too, because fans of any of the modern Persona games would feel right at home with Shin Megami Tensei V. After initially being released as a Switch exclusive, Shin Megami Tensei V made its way to the PlayStation 5 courtesy of the Vengeance edition, which is much more than a port. With Vengeance, players are getting the best version of Shin Megami Tensei V in terms of not just visuals and performance, but gameplay tweaks, complete with a brand-new path through the game that gives way to a new ending.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition

  • Release Date — March 3, 2023
  • Developer — Team Ninja
  • Publisher — Koei Tecmo
  • Genre — Action RPG, Soulslike
  • Review Aggregate Score — 80% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $35.99 (Normally $59.99, 30% off)

Of all the modern Team Ninja games, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the most like FromSoftware’s Sekiro, only it swaps Japanese mythology and folklore for Chinese and affords players much more flexibility in its buildcraft and progression. Otherwise, though, Wo Long is Team Ninja’s attempt at building an action RPG with a combat system that focuses on deflection and parrying, and it’s maybe some of the most fun you can have with a Team Ninja game this side of Nioh 2. The Complete Edition of Wo Long includes all of the post-launch DLC expansions that Team Ninja released, making it well worth picking up during the current PlayStation Store sale for less than $40.

Atomfall

  • Release Date — March 27, 2025
  • Developer — Rebellion Developments
  • Publisher — Rebellion Developments
  • Genre — Action, Survival
  • Review Aggregate Score — 74% (Mixed or Average)
  • Price — $44.99 (Normally $59.99, 25% off)

Upon playing Atomfall, you can almost immediately tell that it’s a game destined to become a cult-classic. While Atomfall shares some similarities to other games (Fallout, Dishonored, and even Deus Ex among them), its standout feature is that it’s also undeniably an original gameplay experiment that succeeds, for the most part. The survival mechanics of Atomfall can be pretty brutal if you don’t make it a habit of monitoring your character’s health and status effects, but the extra immersion that they support makes that learning curve worth it. Atomfall also refuses to hold the player’s hand or tell them where to go, forcing you to forget some learned helplessness from years of open-world collect-a-thons and embrace the great unknown.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake

  • Release Date — November 14, 2024
  • Developer — Square Enix, Artdink
  • Publisher — Square Enix
  • Genre — JRPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 84% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $34.99 (Normally $59.99, 40% off)

Another of the best RPG remakes available for a nice discount on the PlayStation Store right now is Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which is almost perfectly timed with the recent release of the HD-2D remakes of the first two Dragon Quest games. Canonically, Dragon Quest III is actually the first game in the series, putting players into the shoes of the legendary hero Erdrick and witnessing how the events of the first two games preceding it came to be. The remake strikes a cautious balance between offering players some welcome quality of life touches and being an unabashedly old-school RPG that adheres to series tradition, but its visuals are a far cry from any other version of the now-legendary Dragon Quest III that you’ve ever seen or played.

NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition

  • Release Date — February 26, 2019
  • Developer — PlatinumGames
  • Publisher — Square Enix
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 91% (Universal Acclaim)
  • Price — $15.99 (Normally $39.99, 60% off)

There are plenty of people out there who would readily attest to NieR: Automata being not only one of the best character action games, but one of the best games of all time, period. And I’d be inclined to agree. What Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames were able to accomplish with NieR is nothing short of groundbreaking, especially when you look at how many games clearly followed in its footsteps and use it as a foundational inspiration for both their gameplay and narrative. If you’ve somehow managed to miss NieR all this time, grabbing the Game of the YoRHa Edition for just $16 is easily the best thing that money can buy for under $20 in the current slate of PlayStation Store deals.

Monster Hunter Wilds

  • Release Date — February 28, 2025
  • Developer — Capcom
  • Publisher — Capcom
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 88% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $48.99 (Normally $69.99, 30% off)

Player engagement with Monster Hunter Wilds has practically taken a nosedive off a cliff since the peaks from around its launch window, but if you have a dedicated co-op group to play with, Monster Hunter Wilds can still be plenty of fun. Heck, it’s even fun when you’re making your way through the campaign, even though Monster Hunter games don’t *really* start until you roll credits and reach the endgame. Regardless, Wilds is having one of its best discounts yet over on the PlayStation Store, and the more recent content updates and crossovers with Final Fantasy XIV could mean that finding a great match is just right around the corner.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Premium Edition

  • Release Date — April 17, 2025
  • Developer — MachineGames
  • Publisher — Bethesda Softworks
  • Genre — Action-Adventure, Stealth
  • Review Aggregate Score — 88% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $69.99 (Normally $99.99, 30% off)

It took about 6 months for Indiana Jones and the Great Cirlce to make its way to the PlayStation 5, and in that time since its launch, we’ve gotten a DLC drop that makes picking up the more expensive Premium Edition worth it. For the normal MSRP of just the base game ($69.99), players can currently pick up the Premium Edition of Great Circle, which just so happens to include access to the post-launch DLC story addition, The Order of Giants. The Great Circle is perhaps the best Indiana Jones game ever made, and it also happens to be a fantastic stealth action game that makes great use of its first-person perspective for some amazing setpiece moments and hard-hitting combat.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

  • Release Date — August 29, 2025
  • Developer — Lizardcube
  • Publisher — Sega
  • Genre — Action Platformer, Metroidvania
  • Review Aggregate Score — 87% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $20.99 (Normally $29.99, 30% off)

When the curtain falls on 2025, it’s highly likely that many players who experienced Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will see it land somewhere in their top 10 list for the year, and that’s even with stiff competition in both its genre and as a ninja game. But Shinobi‘s surprise implementation of honest-to-goodness Metroidvania gameplay is just too well-executed, and its combat and platforming are just too precise and satisfying not to recognize it as one of the year’s best games. Shinobi is so good that it could definitely be worth double its normal asking price, so picking it up while it’s 30% off seems like a deal too good to pass up.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

  • Release Date — October 9, 2015
  • Developer — Naughty Dog, Bluepoint Games
  • Publisher — Sony Computer Entertainment
  • Genre — Action-Adventure
  • Review Aggregate Score — 86% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $5.99 (Normally $19.99, 70% off)

As far as pinpointing the best deals on the PlayStation Store goes, it’s practically impossible to find one better than the current 70% off sale on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. Despite each game in this compilation being well over a decade old, all three of the PS3 Uncharted games hold up incredibly well as a pinnacle action-adventure title, which makes getting the whole collection under a single umbrella for just $6 feel like an insane bargain. These are essentials for any PlayStation gamer’s library, and Sony’s willingness to almost give them away certainly sweetens the deal.
