The Best PC Gaming Deals to Grab During the Fanatical Summer Sale
Steam key reseller Fanatical is one of the most dependable and trustworthy names to buy from, and its Summer Sale just recently kicked off with thousands of incredible deals to sift through. In most cases, many of the games included are at even deeper discounts than they’ve been at during Steam or Humble’s summer sale events, making several of the games here the best prices they’ve ever been. On top of the regular deals highlighted here that will last throughout the duration of the sale, there are also daily “Star Deals” on some incredible games and bundles that are worth checking out every day. But as far as the regular deals go on the Fanatical Summer Sale, these are the titles we’d pick up if they’re not already in your Steam library.

It’s pretty much universally accepted that Age of Empires II is one of the greatest RTS games ever made, and its Definitive Edition release from back in 2019 is the best the game has been since its original launch decades prior. You can currently grab the best playable version of Age of Empires II for just over $10, a whopping 69% off its normal $35 asking price. It’s no exaggeration to say you’d be getting thousands of hours of potential gameplay from this spectacular historical classic in the strategy and city-building genres.
Persona 3 Reload
- Release Date — February 2, 2024
- Developer — Atlus
- Publisher — Sega
- Genre — JRPG
- Steam User Score — 95% (Overwhelmingly Positive)
- Price — $28.69 (Normally $69.99, 59% off)
The quantum leap forward that the Persona series made with Persona 5 established the perfect template for future remakes of the series’ past entries, the first of which was a ground-up remake of Persona 3. Persona 3 Reload maintains the classic gameplay and story of the beloved PS2 and PSP classic, only it significantly updates the game’s visuals and adds in plenty of quality-of-life flourishes that make it more palatable for a modern audience. It’s currently almost 60% off as part of the Fanatical Summer Sale and one of the best JRPGs you can grab.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – Voidfarer Edition
- Release Date — December 7, 2023
- Developer — Owlcat Games
- Publisher — Owlcat Games
- Genre — CRPG, TRPG
- Steam User Score — 85% (Very Positive)
- Price — $39.98 (Normally $99.96, 60% off)
From JRPGs to CRPGs, Owlcat Games asserted itself as a studio to watch with the phenomenal Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, only to follow it up with an even better CRPG with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. The Voidfarer Edition of Rogue Trader includes both of the game’s great DLC expansions — Void Shadows and Lux Imperialis — and is currently at a massive 60% discount for just $40. Outside Baldur’s Gate 3, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better CRPG with turn-based tactical combat than Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.
Aliens: Dark Descent
- Release Date — June 19, 2023
- Developer — Tindalos Interactive
- Publisher — Focus Entertainment
- Genre — Tactics, Real-Time Tactics
- Steam User Score — 88% (Very Positive)
- Price — $16.39 (Normally $39.99, 59% off)
One of the more underrated games that’s totally worth picking up during a sale like Fanatical’s is Aliens: Dark Descent, which is down to just $16 from its normal $40 asking price. This real-time tactics game blends both shooting and stealth, along with a surprisingly good story that makes great use of the Alien license. There’s some great squad management and even a whole system related to your team’s stress level and morale, making Aliens: Dark Descent one of the few games using the Alien IP to accurately tap into the tension of the films.
Castlevania Dominus Collection
- Release Date — August 27, 2024
- Developer — Konami
- Publisher — Konami
- Genre — Metroidvania
- Steam User Score — 94% (Very Positive)
- Price — $13.49 (Normally $24.99, 46% off)
Nearly all of Konami’s compilation games are on sale as part of the Fanatical Summer Sale, but the one that we’d recommend the most is Castlevania Dominus Collection. Both the most recent and one of the most impressive of the three Castlevania collections available, Dominus brings together the three Nintendo DS-era games in the series, all of which rank as some of the best Metroidvania titles in the franchise. At just $13, it’s honestly worth picking up for Dawn of Sorrow alone.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Ultimate Edition
- Release Date — January 25, 2024
- Developer — Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio
- Publisher — Sega
- Genre — JRPG
- Steam User Score — 91% (Very Positive)
- Price — $40.14 (Normally $109.99, 64% off)
The JRPG pivot of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise was a stroke of genius that helped the series gain an even more devoted cult following than it already had, and it also helped bring a plethora of new players into the fold. The most recent entry, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, brings together new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga with longtime Yakuza hero Kazuma Kiryu in one of the franchise’s best stories yet, and it has some spectacular gameplay (and an almost unreal amount of side content) to match. For just $40 instead of its normal $110 MSRP, you can currently grab the Ultimate Edition that includes all the DLC (such as the New Game + mode).
Resident Evil 4
- Release Date — March 23, 2023
- Developer — Capcom
- Publisher — Capcom
- Genre — Survival Horror, Action
- Steam User Score — 97% (Overwhelmingly Positive)
- Price — $17.19 (Normally $39.99, 57% off)
Capcom’s reinvention of Resident Evil 4 was so well done that it earned several Game of the Year accolades and nominations in 2023, and it remains one of the best survival horror games that money can buy. Since launch, it’s already had its base price reduced from $60 to $40, and it’s currently on an even deeper discount down to just $17 over at Fanatical. The original Resident Evil 4 is one of the most important games ever made and a must-play for just about any action game fan, and the remake manages to faithfully honor that legacy.
Silent Hill 2
- Release Date — October 8, 2024
- Developer — Bloober Team SA
- Publisher — Konami
- Genre — Survival Horror
- Steam User Score — 95% (Overwhelmingly Positive)
- Price — $37.79 (Normally $69.99, 46% off)
From one incredible survival horror remake to another, Silent Hill 2‘s spectacular reimagining at the hands of Bloober Team is once again at a nice discount as part of the Fanatical Summer Sale, down to just $37 from its normal $70 asking price. Like the modern Resident Evil remakes, the Silent Hill 2 remake successfully captures everything fans loved about the original while smoothing out some of its rougher edges, delivering an experience that honors and, in some ways, transcends its source material. Silent Hill 2 has regularly gone on sale for $45, but this current deal is worth jumping on if you’ve been on the fence.
Monster Hunter Wilds
- Release Date — February 28, 2025
- Developer — Capcom
- Publisher — Capcom
- Genre — Action-Adventure, Action RPG, Open-World
- Steam User Score — 51% (Mixed)
- Price — $46.89 (Normally $69.99, 33% off)
Despite a sharp decline in players since the heyday of its launch window, Monster Hunter Wilds has been steadily improving over the last few weeks, with even more updates and new content on the way later this year. The first true open-world game in Capcom’s long-running series, Monster Hunter Wilds evolves the formula from Monster Hunter World to serve as the franchise’s most accessible game yet (for better or worse) and is down to its lowest ever price over at Fanatical for just $47. Now is the best time to jump in, especially with the August 13 update around the corner and new monsters arriving in September.
DOOM: The Dark Ages
- Release Date — May 14, 2025
- Developer — id Software
- Publisher — Bethesda Softworks
- Genre — FPS
- Steam User Score — 86% (Very Positive)
- Price — $45.49 (Normally $69.99, 35% off)
One of the most exciting deals from the Fanatical Summer Sale is the huge discount on DOOM: The Dark Ages, which sees id Software’s latest game in the iconic franchise down to just $45 from its standard $70. The Dark Ages strikes a nice balance between the 2016 DOOM reboot and 2020’s DOOM: Eternal, faster-paced and more varied in its combat sandbox than the former but not nearly as dependent on speed and ability-juggling as the latter. If you’ve been waiting for a good discount for The Dark Ages since its launch in May, this is likely the best one you’ll get for quite a while.
