The Best Xbox Deals to Grab During the Keep on Gaming and Capcom Publisher Sales

The Best Xbox Deals to Grab During the Keep on Gaming and Capcom Publisher Sales

Over at the Xbox Store, Microsoft has kicked off the Keep on Gaming Sale, which contains hundreds of great deals on games from across several generations of Xbox hardware. One benefit that Xbox Series X/S owners have is being able to play great games from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 on modern hardware, which can’t be said of the PlayStation 5 (which is only backwards compatible with PlayStation 4 games and not PS2 or PS3 titles). Along with the Keep on Gaming Sale, Capcom is still in the midst of a nice promotion for its games that sees several of them down to their lowest-ever prices. But while the Keep on Gaming Sale lasts for the next two weeks, players only have a few more days to grab any of the current deals on Capcom titles like Resident Evil 4 or Monster Hunter Wilds.

Battlefield 4

  • Release Date — October 29, 2013
  • Developer — DICE
  • Publisher — Electronic Arts
  • Genre — FPS
  • Review Aggregate Score — 81% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $1.99 (Normally $19.99, 90% off)

In the post-Battlefield 6 Beta glow, tens of thousands of players have been flocking back to the series’ older games, including 2013’s Battlefield 4. More than 10 years since its launch, Battlefield 4 is still one of the better games in the series for online multiplayer (once some of its larger issues were worked out), and it regularly goes on sale for an impressively low price. You can currently grab Battlefield 4 for just $2 on the Xbox Store and play its single-player campaign and multiplayer modes to tide yourself over until October’s launch of Battlefield 6.

Alien: Isolation

  • Release Date — October 7, 2014
  • Developer — Creative Assembly
  • Publisher — Sega
  • Genre — Survival Horror
  • Review Aggregate Score — 78% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $7.99 (Normally $39.99, 80% off)

A sale on one of the best games to ever use the Alien license couldn’t have been more perfectly timed with the recent premiere of Alien: Earth on FX and Hulu. Alien: Isolation is a perfect adaptation of the kind of deadly cat-and-mouse game that served as the crux of the original Alien film, and it just so happens to be one of the best first-person survival horror games ever made. If you’ve been watching Alien: Earth and are looking for a game to keep yourself immersed in the world of the Xenomorphs, then your best bet is to grab Alien: Isolation while it’s just $8.

Resident Evil 4

  • Release Date — March 24, 2023
  • Developer — Capcom
  • Publisher — Capcom
  • Genre — Survival Horror
  • Review Aggregate Score — 91% (Universal Acclaim)
  • Price — $19.99 (Normally $39.99, 50% off)

The Resident Evil 4 remake practically goes on sale at least once a month now, but just because you can regularly grab it for half price doesn’t mean it’s not worth highlighting each time it drops that low. As far as video game remakes go (especially remakes of survival horror games), Resident Evil 4 sits at or near the top of the pile as a near-perfect reimagining of one of the most important and influential action/horror games ever made. If you somehow don’t already have this one in your Xbox library, it’s time to plunk down $20 and grab it while it’s on sale for the next few days.

Avowed

  • Release Date — February 18, 2025
  • Developer — Obsidian Entertainment
  • Publisher — Xbox Game Studios
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 81% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $46.89 (Normally $69.99, 33% off)

Obsidian’s Avowed only came out in February, and it’s already down to a sizable 33% discount over on the Xbox store as part of the Keep on Gaming sale. While it’s not quite as large and immersive as a game like Skyrim and falls a good bit short on the depth of RPG systems that can be found in the other games set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, Avowed is still a very good action RPG with some well-executed first-person combat, some very fun exploration, and a lengthy campaign that’s worth experiencing at least once.

Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition

  • Release Date — April 21, 2023
  • Developer — Dambuster Studios
  • Publisher — Deep Silver
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 76% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $24.49 (Normally $69.99, 65% off)

The Dead Island games are pure dumb fun, and sometimes that’s all you need for a game to be enjoyable. Dead Island 2 looks and runs incredibly well, given the game’s protracted development and multiple studio changes, and the Ultimate Edition of the game includes a ton of extra content to help flesh out the zombie-slaying experience. Whether Dead Island 2‘s first-person zombie action RPG was worth full price when it launched was debatable, but it’s definitely worth grabbing while it’s 65% off for just $25.

Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle

  • Release Date — October 2, 2018
  • Developer — Capcom
  • Publisher — Capcom
  • Genre — Action-Platformer, Compilation
  • Review Aggregate Score — 80% (Mega Man Legacy Collection), 72% (Mega Man Legacy Collection 2), 86% (Mega Man X Legacy Collection), 63% (Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2)
  • Price — $29.99 (Normally $59.99, 50% off)

With the Capcom side of the current Xbox deals only lasting for the next few days, one of the best things to grab right now on the Xbox Store is the Mega Man 30th Anniversary Collection. For just $30, players can get both of the Mega Man Legacy Collection games (containing Mega Man titles 1-10 and some other extras), both Mega Man X Legacy Collection games, and Mega Man 11. Plus, the collections themselves are well put together and contain a ton of bonuses that make the experience of playing these classic action platformers as good as it could be on modern hardware.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

  • Release Date — May 14, 2021
  • Developer — BioWare
  • Publisher — Electronic Arts
  • Genre — Action RPG
  • Review Aggregate Score — 90% (Universal Acclaim)
  • Price — $5.99 (Normally $59.99, 90% off)

The Mass Effect series is practically synonymous with the Xbox thanks to the first game’s place as a console exclusive on the Xbox 360, so it just feels right to have the series’ Legendary Collection in your Series X/S library. The Legendary Collection brings together all three games in the original Mass Effect trilogy and all their DLC while touching up their visuals and performance, and for $6, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better collection of some of the best action RPGs ever made.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

  • Release Date — April 28, 2023
  • Developer — Respawn Entertainment
  • Publisher — Electronic Arts
  • Genre — Action-Adventure, Soulslike
  • Review Aggregate Score — 86% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $13.99 (Normally $69.99, 80% off)

One of the more surprising deals over on the Xbox Store right now is the most recent sale on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is down to a new historic low of just $14. As the second game in a planned trilogy of titles starring runaway Jedi Cal Kestis, Survivor picks up where Fallen Order left off (both in terms of its gameplay and its story) and sets up what’s sure to be another excellent action-adventure/soulslike hybrid from Respawn in the eventual third game. Part Uncharted and part Sekiro-lite, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a fantastic action game that’s more than worth the price of admission at its current discount.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4

  • Release Date — July 11, 2025
  • Developer — Iron Galaxy
  • Publisher — Activision
  • Genre — Sports
  • Review Aggregate Score — 85% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $37.49 (Normally $49.99, 25% off)

Despite having just been released a few weeks ago, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is already on sale for a nice 25% discount, bringing it down to just $37. Of course, it will likely continue to drop lower in future sales like its Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 predecessor did. But for now, it’s great to see that players can already grab this remake collection for less than its launch price, which is especially enticing for those who put hundreds of hours into these games back on the PlayStation 2.

Halo Infinite

  • Release Date — December 8, 2021
  • Developer — 343 Industries
  • Publisher — Xbox Game Studios
  • Genre — FPS
  • Review Aggregate Score — 87% (Generally Favorable)
  • Price — $19.79 (Normally $59.99, 67% off)

As part of the Keep on Gaming Sale, Xbox has once again slashed the price of Halo Infinite down from its normal $60 MSRP to just $20, making it one of the absolute best deals to grab right now. The multiplayer component of Halo Infinite has been free-to-play for years now, but the excellent open-world campaign remains a premium product, and it’s absolutely worth picking up while it’s on sale. As it turns out, taking the traditional Halo combat sandbox and fitting it into the framework of an open-world game was a recipe for one of the best campaigns the Halo series has had since the original trilogy.
